The Faculty Presidents’ Forum of the University of Jos has issued an alert to all newly admitted students, advising them to suspend payment of the acceptance fee following a sudden and unexplained increase in the fee displayed on the university’s payment portal.
According to the statement, the university has not released any official memo, circular, or announcement regarding the increment. Due to the lack of clarification and in light of similar portal-related glitches in the past, the Forum strongly urges all new students to refrain from making any payment until further notice.
The Forum added that it is currently engaging the university management to obtain immediate clarification. An official update will be communicated to students once the matter is resolved.
Students are encouraged to remain calm and await further information.
