The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has granted full accreditation to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), following a recent accreditation exercise.
The accreditation has also resulted in an increase in the medical school’s admission quota from 100 to 300 students.
The development followed the conclusion of the MDCN team’s re-accreditation exercise for the MBBS programme and accreditation exercise for the Dental programme at the university.
Reacting to the development, the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, expressed gratitude to God, saying, “I can’t thank God enough, His mercy and grace are my only strength.”
